About Me!

I'm Steven Sullivan. A 18 year old
living in Derbyshire, United Kingdom.
I was born and raised in Halifax, West Yorkshire on 22nd August, 1988 and am currently a student studying Internet Computing at the University of Derby. I was firstly enrolled on a Computer Games Programming degree which I thought I would enjoy later on in life and love to do. However, 2 weeks in to my course I switched to Internet Computing, which right now where I really am enjoying what I'm doing. Despite it being a little boring at times, I'm enjoying it. I'm living in student accommodation for at least a year then going hunting for my own apartment.
I learnt myself PHP and HTML from a young age. I never used the PHP online manual up until about August 2005 when I needed a solution to a billing panel I was creating for my hosting company. Before this time, I use to trial and error all the scripts and take snippets of code from around the internet to determine what the snippet and PHP functions did. At around the same time as using the PHP manual, I began to learn more about CSS and Javascript in-depth. I've only even 'touched' these languages at the surface.
I currently own a variety of projects that are in progress
(as always) or incomplete. It's just my style. I tend to create projects and never maintain them
(well hardly maintain them). I own a web hosting company
(Neoboffin Hosting) that's been in business since October, 2005 and I create personal web site designs and scripts for people. At the moment, I no longer wish to design for people so I am taking a break from all that. I still love programming but currently I'm finding it hard to find the will power to create something.
I'm currently learning AJAX to improve web sites I create and various web scripts. I'm also going to learn a little about C# and C++ before I head off to a university to continue my studies. I have books at the ready, just I have not opened them yet.
I'll blog anything on my blog because it's
my blog. If you don't like what I blog, don't read it and refrain from commenting. If you have something valuable to say
(even if you hate that article), please comment that article. If you find a good music video and think it's worthy of an article at my blog, just
contact me and I'll see if I like it. I know my blogs are filled with pop music, but there's not much rockers I like but I try to keep up to date with rocker music too.
Besides all the programming and general things, I guess I'm a nice guy. My friends will
(or should) already know how nice I am, but don't let my personality deceive you! I'm just like anyone else who can go all 'red eyed' on you if the times right. My imagination is one of the best things I posses. I can imagine mostly anything, anywhere at any time. My brain usually buzzes with ideas and improvements for anything, including day-to-day work. That's why I believe I would be a good asset to a company if I'm a programmer. My imagination may be great, however, my brain functionality is not. If you ever speak to me over MSN, you'll find me formal
(in most cases), but if you were to meet me you may find me common and formal.
In most cases I don't understand what you mean. I'll always question your thoughts and have debates. What I really like is a person who would debate back who makes sense and if you don't make sense, explain to me. Through past experiences I seem to find it hard to explain something to people not on my 'brain wave' length. If I ever try to explain something to you and you don't understand, just nod so my head does not explode.

The picture to the right is a caricature of me. I got this done on holiday some place. I'll find out where it was and edit this page yet again. I have to say though, at that time this did look like me. Sometimes it does when I forget to go to the hairdressers and when I smile properly, I do have a weird chin and bone structure!
If you've got this far and you like me and want to chat, just
contact me and include your MSN, AIM, Yahoo! or whatever screen name and we'll chat sometime.
